What area do you cover?
We work across Somerset, with most jobs in and around Bridgwater, Taunton and Weston-super-Mare, and we take on projects in the neighbouring counties too. Get in touch to talk about your location.
How long does a typical project take?
It depends on the scope. A bathroom is typically one to three weeks, a kitchen one to two weeks for a straight swap or four to eight for a full refit, and a single-storey extension around two to three months once planning is sorted. You get a clear timeline before any work starts.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes, free and with no obligation. We come and look at the job, then send a detailed estimate so you know what to expect.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. We stand behind our work, and the details of the guarantee vary by type of job, so just ask us.
Can I stay in my home during the work?
Often yes for kitchens and bathrooms, with a bit of disruption. Larger structural work may need somewhere else to stay for a while. We talk this through before we start.
Do you do small jobs or repairs?
We focus on building projects like kitchens, bathrooms, extensions, flooring, tiling and external works, rather than small handyman jobs.
How do I get started?

Kitchens
About our kitchens workCan I still use my home while the kitchen is being fitted?
Usually, yes. Most people set up a temporary kitchen in another room. We agree the order of work with you up front so the time without a working kitchen is as short as possible.
Do I need to buy the kitchen myself?
Either works. You can supply your own units, or tell us what you want and we can talk through options when we visit.
Bathrooms
About our bathrooms workCan you turn my bath into a walk-in shower?
Yes. We look at the space and the plumbing on the visit and tell you what will work.
Will I be without a toilet?
If it is your only bathroom, we plan the work to keep the time without a toilet as short as possible and let you know in advance.
Extensions
About our extensions workDo I need planning permission for an extension?
Some single-storey extensions fall under permitted development and some need full planning permission. It depends on the size and your property. We can talk it through on the visit, and building regulations apply either way.
Can I stay in the house during the build?
Usually, yes. Most of the work happens outside until the new space is joined to the house. We plan that stage carefully to keep disruption down.
Flooring
About our flooring workCan you lay wood flooring over underfloor heating?
Often, yes, with the right engineered board. We check what you have and recommend a suitable floor.
Tiling
About our tiling workDo you supply the tiles?
You can choose and buy your own, or we can advise on quantities and what will work in the space.
External works
About our external works workDoes the weather hold up outside work?
Heavy rain or frost can pause some stages, like laying concrete or mortar. We plan around the forecast and keep you updated if the dates move.
