Who we are
This website is run by PK Building Contractor Ltd ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal details you send us. You can contact us about anything in this policy atpkbuildingcontractorltd@gmail.com or on 07849 319356.
What we collect
When you send the quote form, we collect:
- your name, phone number, email address and postcode
- the type of job and the message you write
- whether you ticked the box to say you do not want updates
- basic technical details: the date and time, the type of browser you used, and a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your internet address, used only to stop the form being abused
If you call, WhatsApp or email us, we keep the details you send so we can reply and quote for the job.
How we use it
- To reply and quote. We use your details to contact you about your enquiry, visit and quote. This is needed to take steps you have asked for before entering a contract.
- To stop spam. We check submissions automatically to filter out spam and abuse. This is in our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable.
- Occasional updates. If you did not tick the opt-out box, we may email you now and then about our work. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us. We never sell your details or share them for other companies' marketing.
Who else handles your details
We use a small number of trusted services to run the website and form. They only process your details on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts the website, runs the spam check (Turnstile) on the form and provides cookie-free visitor statistics.
- Supabase securely stores enquiries so none are lost.
- Resend delivers the enquiry email to us and any update emails to you.
- Google supplies the reviews shown on this site. No personal details from the form are sent to Google.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
If you become a customer, we keep your details for as long as we need them for the job, guarantees, and our tax and accounting records. If you do not go ahead, we delete enquiry details after two years. If you unsubscribe from updates, we keep a note of your email address only so we do not email you again.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not identify you personally. The spam check on the form (Cloudflare Turnstile) may use strictly necessary technical data to tell people apart from bots.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, delete them, or object to how we use them. Just contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
